Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Stations Upgrade
An unprecedented growth in tourism necessitated a complete redevelopment of the Table Mountain Cableway. The challenge was to combine the complex engineering requirements of a new drive system with structural solutions that would enhance the visitor’s experience of one of South Africa’s premier tourist destinations, while preventing damage to the ultra-sensitive environment.
Glass House - Kirstenbosch Botanical Society
The Glasshouse for the National Botanical Institute, Kirstenbosch, exhibits plants that would not otherwise grow in the natural conditions of the gardens. The focus is on species from arid regions of Southern Africa. Ferns, stone plants, afro-montane species, and rare bulbous plants which require special growing conditions also included.
